Bilingual Immigration Paralegal

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the immigration field
- Full fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a close-knit team provides a challenging opportunity and an enjoyable workplace
- Ability to work within a team environment and work well under pressure, especially with deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a positive attitude
- Experience working with individuals from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds
- Prior customer service experience
- Requires occasional lifting up to and exceeding 20 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and databases
- Review and assess client-provided documents and information to identify issues and proactively alert attorneys for strategic case planning
- Draft and manage immigration, family, and criminal petitions, ensuring compliance with internal timelines, checklists, and procedural standards
- Ensure all written and verbal communications with clients reflect a service-centered approach to legal representation
- Maintain electronic and physical client files
- Conduct research on immigration laws, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate and communicate with clients to collect required case documentation
- Provide clients with timely updates on case progress
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive demeanor in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Perform legal administrative duties, including calendar management, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, arranging appointments, as well as answering, screening, and routing incoming phone calls, and manage receipt of client payments
- Requires occasional lifting up to and exceeding 20 pounds
